**Job Title: Medical Assistant**

**Job Summary:**

As a Medical Assistant, you will be an essential part of our healthcare team, responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to healthcare professionals. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical practice and the delivery of quality patient care.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Patient Care:**
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, taking medical histories, and vital signs.
- Assist physicians or nurses with medical procedures and examinations.

2. **Administrative Tasks:**
- Schedule appointments, handle patient registration, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Manage medical office paperwork, including filing, billing, and insurance claims.

3. **Patient Education:**
- Educate patients on medications, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide information and resources to patients to ensure their understanding and compliance.

4. **Instrument Sterilization:**
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment for safety and hygiene.

5. **Compliance and Regulations:**
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

6. **Inventory Management:**
- Monitor and order medical supplies and maintain inventory.
- Keep track of stock levels and equipment maintenance.

7. **Communication:**
- Effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and fellow staff members.
- Relay patient concerns and needs to the medical team.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- CPR certification may be required.
