As a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), you will provide vital support to our addiction treatment program, helping individuals on their path to recovery from substance use disorders. Your role is crucial in assisting certified counselors and ensuring the well-being of our clients.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Client Support:**
- Assist clients in understanding and following treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement during the recovery process.
- Coordinate client activities and individual/group therapy sessions.

2. **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Record progress notes and client interactions in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist in gathering and organizing client assessment data.

3. **Client Education:**
- Educate clients on addiction recovery, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
- Explain the benefits of treatment and the importance of compliance with program guidelines.

4. **Administrative Duties:**
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling client appointments.
- Maintain an organized and efficient treatment environment.

5. **Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with certified counselors and other healthcare professionals in treatment planning.
- Communicate client progress and concerns within the treatment team.

6. **Crisis Intervention:**
- Assist in crisis intervention situations and help clients manage challenging emotions.
- Follow established crisis protocols and report any safety concerns.

**Qualifications:**

- Certified as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) in accordance with state requirements.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and a compassionate approach to clients.
- Familiarity with addiction and recovery principles.
- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
